Arthur's Seat
An extinct volcano some 300 million years old, 250.5 metres high, reached in 48 minutes on foot from the centre of Edinburgh. I climbed it on 4 August 2026 — the one free day between the end of the Residentiary Choir week and the move south. On the way down are the ruins of a 600-year-old chapel and a well that has long since run dry.
